ABOUT HELEN SUTTON
Helen "Louise" Sutton was born on September 15, 1921 in Elkhart IN and had been a resident of the Lorain area since 1945. Helen was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, family and most importantly loved children. No child was ever turned away. She understood that the foundation of an individual's health and well-being is laid in early childhood. Helen Sutton believed that exposing a child to new ideas and a new way of thinking would birth new behavior. (M.E.N.D) Mentoring, Educating, Nurturing and Development was the foundation of her belief. Although Helen Louise Sutton went on to be with the Lord, her grand daughter and Camp Helen founder Pamela Sutton (Founder info Click Here) is carrying on the M.E.N.D tradition. The tradition conceived the beginning of the Helen Sutton Foundation and inspired the Vision to Camp Helen. "I wanted to give back to the place that loved and help raise me. This camp will allow us to carry on the legend of my grandmother's belief."
